WWDC 2023: Apple announces mixed reality headset, new MacBooks, and more
What happened at WWDC23?
Apple held its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) on Monday, June 5, 2023. The event was held virtually and in person at Apple Park in Cupertino, California.
At WWDC, Apple unveiled a number of new products and software updates, including:
Apple Vision Pro
Apple Vision Pro is a new mixed reality headset that combines the power of AR and VR. The headset features a high-resolution display, spatial audio, and hand tracking. Apple Vision Pro is designed for developers to create immersive AR and VR experiences.
15-inch MacBook Air
Apple also announced a new 15-inch MacBook Air. The new MacBook Air is the largest and most powerful MacBook Air ever. It features a 15-inch Liquid Retina display, an M2 chip, and up to 24GB of RAM.
Mac Studio
The Mac Studio is a new desktop computer that is designed for creative professionals. The Mac Studio features an M1 Ultra chip, up to 128GB of RAM, and up to 8TB of SSD storage.
iOS 16
Apple also announced iOS 16, the latest version of its mobile operating system. iOS 16 includes a number of new features, such as a redesigned lock screen, new widgets, and a new Focus mode.
macOS Ventura
Apple also announced macOS Ventura, the latest version of its desktop operating system. macOS Ventura includes a number of new features, such as a new Stage Manager feature, a new Continuity Camera feature, and a new Mail app.
